Achievements for Children
We take great pleasure in rewarding all of the achievements of the children in our school, whether this is academic, sporting or personal. We understand that all children are unique and different, each with their own special skills and talents which we aim to celebrate and nurture.
This takes place each Friday and is a time when teachers and other adults can reward children with certificates for a range of achievements from across the week. Children who have also made an extra effort to display Christian values are also rewarded with a special certificate.
House points are also earned throughout the week and House Captains are invited up to the front of the assembly hall to share their house point totals. The winning house receives a House Cup with their house colour ribbons which is displayed at the front of the school.
Children are also encouraged to share any trophies, medals and certificates from clubs and activities outside of school.
At least twice each term, children are invited to showcase a special skill or talent to the whole school during Friday's celebration assembly. The talents shared are diverse and varied and so far have included baton twirling and piano and clarinet playing! Parents and families of children showing their talent are invited to these special assemblies.
Termly achievement assembly
Each term, children are selected from each class to receive special awards from the adults who work with them. These awards range from academic excellence, sporting achievements, Christian values, Friendship awards and Behaviour awards too.
Parents and carers are also invited to these assemblies which the children really enjoy and is another wonderful opportunity to bring the school community together in celebration.
