A message from Mrs Thomas

Thursday 2nd of April

Good morning children,

Today would have been the last day of term for you before the Easter holidays.
Clio and Arran have recommended the live feeds from the Chester and Edinburgh Zoo’s. They have also found another good one to share with us,  go onto Facebook ( with an adult) and search the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical garden.  The Zoo has a massive variety of animals such as hippos, snow leopards, polar bear etc. they are much more informative about the animals and the videos are twice as long.  The keepers can also answer some live questions being posted.

Why don't you all take a virtual trip to the zoo this Easter.

Good morning children,

As today is April fool's day I thought it might be the right time to start the joke of the day. Thank you to Noah for this one.

What do you call a donkey with three legs?.....     A wonky

If you usually come to  sensory circuits you might like to look at the activities Mrs Hall has put together for you.

Tuesday 31st of March

Good morning children,

I am enjoying hearing about the things you are doing at home. Your teachers are sharing your efforts and good news with me each day. I can see that some of you have been baking and some of you have been getting creative. Do send your good news stories to me as I would love to share them with the rest of the school community. For good news stories please email images and text to head@holme.cambs.sch.uk

Monday 30th of March

Good afternoon children,

I hope you've all had a good weekend and are starting to adjust to learning at home. Last night we all tried out the cosmic yoga (I highly recommend the Wizard of Oz one)  and that is now going to be part of our daily life.

In my house, this morning, we sat down and decided what jobs needed to be done throughout the day. Together, we have mapped out time for work and rest.

Check out the Rev Dyball's new message for this week.

Speak soon.

Tuesday 24th of March 2020

Good morning children,

I hope you are all behaving well and listening to your grownups. Well done to those children who have already accessed Tackling Tables. Mr Batty is going to keep track of who goes on this each week.

Today in school, we are getting outside and enjoying the sunshine. Miss Williams has planned some arts and crafts for us all. Why don't you spend some time in your garden- get out those colouring pencils and make a master piece.

Speak soon,

Monday 23rd of March 2020

Good morning children,

This is the first time in our school's 152 years history where the school will be spread across so many sites (your houses). I hope you all had a restful weekend and are ready for a new kind of learning at home with your family.

I will try to post a message each day. Today in school we will be learning about the story of Noah and how the rainbow is a symbol of hope. We will be decorating the windows with rainbows. Why don't you join in and put a rainbow in your window for others to see.

At 10:25 we will stop and sing our favourite song 'Light house' . Here is the link so you can join in at home. Why don't you teach your family the actions.
