Owls Class Yr 1/2

Welcome to Owls Class

We are a mixed Year 1 and Year 2 class.

Owls is a friendly, enthusiastic class who enjoy learning and love having a story at the end of the day.

Our class room has a wonderful role play area linked to our topic, a comfy reading area with some new reading buddies and a developing outdoor area.

Our teacher is Mrs Hood.

Home Activities

Hello again everybody, I hope you have had a lovely weekend.

Well you have made it the last week of the Summer term and the end of a very strange year.  I am so proud of you all and of all the amazing things that you have achieved this year.

I hope you are enjoying our virtual classroom. How many mini beasts have you found?  Remember to click on the link below to enter.

Well  back to our learning again this week πŸ“šπŸ“βž•βž–βœ–βž—πŸ˜ƒ.

All of the activities for you this week are in the documents below.  Remember that you don't have to complete them all in one go.

If you are not in school are some sites that you may want to visit.  Make sure you choose the correct year group.

I know this link has been on our page for a while but the link below has some step by step  video guides which may help, along with some FAQ on how to use Oak.

Another useful site for your on line learning

Another good site which you may want to visit for phonics. New lessons are added each day, just scroll down to your year group.  Year 2  it is always good to have a refresh.

But before you start you know I like to start week with a new song🎢 . We will be singing this one in school at the start of each day and it would be lovely to think that you are all joining in with us.

It will be sent home every Friday and should be returned by Wednesday.

For P.E. I would advise children to bring indoor and outdoor P.E. kit (including trainers) to be prepared for any weather, bringing their kit in on a Monday and taking it home on a Friday. Regular P.E. sessions with a coach are on Fridays and the additional P.E. will be on Mondays.
